Most claim Taiwan is not recognized as a country, including China. However, this might be because China will hate anyone who disagrees with it, since it has a lot of power within the United Nations (veto power meaning China must agree for a systematic change of Taiwan's status to occur, and China would of course disagree). However, Taiwan claims itself to actually be a country, and since it itself is Taiwan, some think they have the right to self-determination, especially since it already has its own people, government, laws, and territory. As another example, if America claims that they now own Canada, Canada has the right to not listen to them! If only the coercive forces were removed...
