It is possible that co-operation can be beneficial. But not in a standardized examination system where my classmates are competitors…! Giving examination-related information to those fools can be a loss, as they might use it, not against me, but for themselves to get a better grade…!
HOWEVER, it usually is a benefit when it comes to team activities,
like videogame development, team sports, and other stuff. It all depends
on what is beneficial to begin with.
Examination system - become better than
all else (giving information specifically to candidates is an
individualistic loss in a zero-sum system).
Companies - earn a lot of money while maintaining demand and brand image
(co-operation helps a ton with ideas).
Team sports - (you literally pretty much cannot win without a full team,
so it basically is needed, but if you help the opponents out, it is
indeed a loss)
Yeah, please don’t ignore the “game” itself; whether co-operation is
needed or not depends on the game.
