I think better to do creative tasks before HW because HW is mundane and creativity gradually declines over time. Want to prevent more creativity damage from being put on superficially urgent tasks instead of the subjectively fulfilling things.
It's probably a problem that the tasks that have the least creativity - linear problem-solving like math automated with AI - Human knowledge shines when there is no clear answer, but this is the literal antithesis of school, which needs to grade people!
From the school's view creativity disrupts focus.
