Information itself is a neutral asset, like even information about Hitler is neutral, otherwise why would Hitler even be taught in history at school? It’s the “videogames cause violence” fallacy.
Understanding manipulation is the only way to avoid it. Sometimes, it's more dangerous if you are not aware, for instance, of an internet scam. it should be fine if you don’t abuse it yourself.
