No room for feedback. Even if logically absolutely absurd (or scientifically).

Many teachers and parents have poor understanding of Brain Science.

This drives far too much stress that a voluntary task would not have.

School is notorious for this, and work too, to a lesser extent (because at least pay).

I fear that this is becoming normalized.

And sadly most of the time the best pragmatic option is to obey rather than argue. (Even if it technically can be negotiated).

Unfortunately, most of the time they make weird excuses". eg bird "I know it best; it's for your own good." "It's your loss if you don't" (Actual near-quotes), and it's not so obviously bad like murdering someone.
