It used to be a conflict between annoying the teacher/another person and giving higher marks to others. In essence, I inevitably kinda minimize effort and just help out when asked. In reality, I think the impact is negligible. Socializing with them has little to do with academics. Yet it's pleasurable to both (assuming they actually want it and allow it).
