Inversion principle

Logical method where you think the opposite way. For instance, where you aim to avoid failure rather than to succeed; it can be easier to find jobs if you know what you hate rather than what you like (well, you won’t know, but some things just scream at you not to do them).

Another inversion principle

Another method is by asking yourself, for example, when deciding between several things to buy, how intense the negative feelings would be if you didn't have it? Instead of "which one I want the most?". This may lower impulsivity, leading to better money management. Because usually there is only one choice from some, e.g. what to select from elective subjects, what to eat… However, sometimes the weighing of the factors can be inaccurate or not very useful in real life, due to inherent human bias; this can sometimes go wrong, still is it far better than no decision at all. Yay!
