Limits of effort

Perhaps destiny can actually win?
There are lazy managers and corrupt government officials, yet there are moral, ordinary citizens. (converse also true)
Can a correlation be disproven?
Why are intelligent people sometimes not employed, and why do some government officials like Donald Trump simply STUPID?
Even though effort is one of the few things the self can do to improve, still, people overestimate effort; success is mainly based on external circumstances (less control).
Luck is also a factor; if someone is born with a destructive health condition, even with effort, life won’t be that good.
Thus it is believed that expecting (assuming for sure) anything significant from effort is a waste of time, just causes anxiety. In fact, eg. jobs applicatio,n there’s a lot out of control; success and failure are unknown from the candidate's perspective. Becoming a slave to forced effort causes extreme harm to the simple act of being a free human. To be clear, success itself is not a problem; it’s excess effort at the cost of not being able to rest from forced effort.
“Only those who accept the natural flow of events will not be concerned about life and death or anxious about praise or blame.” -> And then if attachment to outcome is removed, being a failure is rendered completely meaningless, as the human, and the freedom of being human, still exists. Sure, others can still see, but isn’t the meaning of one's own life made on their own, not by others? Because reputation is still ultimately not up to the human, but the circumstances, and effort can only do so much, and afterwards it destroys the mind of the excessively hustling person!
It doesn’t mean working; it’s just about detaching from the outcome to destroy the fear of repeated failures.
