Philosophical Minimalism

Reducing possessions and clutter to put more focus on specific other things. A Stoic and Buddhist concept, aligning the environment to focus more on high-priority things. Usually it’s about prioritizing human needs over unnecessary desires. The maintenance energy of other objects requires time, and it also goes against the human will to take care of an object that no longer serves a purpose (like a wedding dress)... It’s also wasted space, and some studies show that a messy desk can reduce productivity (even if, pragmatically, theoretically, it’s actually more convenient to find things quickly)...

Modern psychology research does show that you can focus better when your environment is indeed minimalistic. Depending on how easy it is to organize a room, it can be a good option to do so.
