Well, if anyone asks me why I didn’t take psychology that school, it’s because of the overjustification effect and also the lack of freedom to learn what I want to learn, both would make me not want to do this anymore if there is a standarized exam with a set syllabus affecting my mind. There is stuff where I actually want to learn this and remember this until I die, not just for an exam; I theorized that I somehow learn things better and happier when there is no external pressure a long time ago, but only now can I confirm, once I have the maturity to learn and freely critically think on my own. Just like with Math, I used to like it in my childhood, but not anymore, I got toxic memories with how much homework I was given! It’s more fun to discover myself whatever I want, whenever I want.
