Giving up things for others.
I think so, because some people inevitably need things more than others.
I think this can be the case too. This is because inevitably the giver, who is experiencing his or her own life, would have to lose a little. A major factor involves whether there is any coercion or not. The question is: If one does not care for oneself, how can one care for others?
Christianity, what happened to you?
You love altruism, I know, but yet you want humans to live life “to the
fullest” (Abundant life).
Thus, Christianity clashes with itself...
I don't really give money to charity anymore. The reason I now perceive is obvious: I am broke to my very own name, having no job and no way to earn money. Of course, I think that I need money before I give (and technically, don't make the argument that I can be supported: my parents' money is not my money, they can technically stop giving me life support at any moment.)
