An idea that not knowing something, like a problem, keeps you happier. However, inevitably, if you gather information, some negativity may arrive. So I propose the alternative below.
Ignoring what a human themselves cannot control.
Simply put, what someone cannot control by definition is not something
they have caused and cannot be prevented, even with effort, so it’s best
to just let it go. It's like stoicism in a way.
Logically and philosophically, ignoring should be a morally neutralaction (super majority
of the time): as simply it is the absence of positive AND negative action/reaction.
It involves no lying and no direct physical/mental harm. No lies, no
words can be used against you. And no motivation for bullies as they
rely on a negative reaction, so they eventually leave you alone.
(unintentional ignoring) can also be harmful to some people growing up
-> it could be that others are preoccupied, not that they hate
you
