They are for unifying (conformity) - the problem is that this restricts freedom. It is a symbol of turning everyone to the lowest standard.

School uniforms are for advertising the school! Mobile adverts- my school's language. But personally, I think this is very dehumanizing.

Especially since I don't get paid to be an advertisement in the first place! Yet I still have to wear it... :)
