Education system

Where do I even begin with this one... It's the system that you go through from being a kid to graduating from university (or even later). Rare exceptions include homeschoolers and unschoolers. And with a big problem of research and schooling amnesia, AND also the need to conform, it seems like it is almost impossible to solve.

Most critical rule: negative effects of school can occur even with good teachers! The system is the problem not the kind people that try to teach despite it.

My advice: Do Metalearning such that learning becomes "easier"? Unfortunately, you will have no choice but to obey... Save your energy. Be educated in the flaws of school itself, or learn about it from me. Out of school, do what you like, guilt-free! There may be parents who complain about people spending time on the computer. But it's your freedom. Darwinism evolved for freedom, not for school! Protect it at all costs. And there will be the unbiased hatred of school! It would inevitably bring about at least some dissatisfaction. Hopefully, knowledge about the system itself will help you protect your ego or psyche, at the very least. Pessimism and stress might be bad, but it might also be unavoidable, and the paradox could be that having negativity about the fact of feeling bad itself may make it worse. Regardless, in the end, you know your situation the best, so, as if it were a game, try to get through it as smoothly as you can, even though that is actually pretty rare, but isn't the alternative worse? I wish you the best of luck.

Outside it...

In response to the strange demands of schools, humans adapt, perhaps to gain traits ONLY useful in school. Like the suppression of creativity, the suppression of speaking out, and, worse of all, not knowing what to do when given autonomy (because, for the majority of life, this was not applicable). Simply, behavioral darwinism gone wrong, and it's too common, and none of the kids' fault..!

Skills missing

Money management. Even economics might not teach personal money management.

9-5

Many things I say about school apply to the 9-5 job too. It's TOTALLY a mistake to subject kids to this, though. It's a false equivalence to think that pain prepares them for adulthood (this only has a small bit of truth to it; the rest is by the silly merit system and the survivorship bias). People complain about that on YouTube too. Just that they don't say their specific workplace name. Perhaps we should let kids tell the truth? (With consent, of course.)

More stuff:

Sins of school: here is what schools have done wrong.
Why Prussian Education System still exists: Probably the status quo bias.
The pain at both sides: Even teachers have it rough.
