Nietzsche

Nietsche is a nihilist but then became an existentialist.

Nietzsche did not like religions. Most of them fail to help with the fundamental problems of life. I share his take.

Religions, culture, etc., all exist to cause mass obedience. But isn't it fine to rebel?

Nietzsche on beliefs

Where everyone is false by design, otherwise there would be no arguments over them “God is dead”. He’s an atheist and believes in passive nihilism, which is similar to Buddhism. He, in fact, wants to overcome nihilism, not to avoid it. Metaphysics has already reached its potential; God dies.

Perspectivism

Nietzsche claimed the death of God would eventually lead to the realisation that there can never be a universal perspective on things and that the traditional idea of objective truth is incoherent. Thus, people have different beliefs and values

Will to Power

A basic element in Nietzsche's philosophical outlook is the "will to power" (der Wille zur Macht), which he maintained provides a basis for understanding human behaviour, more so than competing explanations, such as the ones based on pressure for adaptation or survival. Links a bit to satanic power here; it’s individual power, and a desire to accumulate pleasure and potential in life.

For instance, one said, "If I simply have the desire to beat out my competition (classmates and the rest of the world) for no reason other than the sheer obstacle itself, turning it into what I live for, then of course I would steamroll through the examination system? But sadly, this is hard because it’s boring." . I have the will to live. Power comes from survival. Thus, I will stay alive. (However, that is only optimistic. The only semi-control is the self, not the system.)

His Ideas

Tribal avoidance and potential loneliness are the price to pay to have the privilege of truly owning the self.
There will be challenges in self-actualization with all the burdens, like work costing time, but you cannot always say that suffering is "worth it"; it just exists. (and then one has to decide whether it's really more gain than loss)
